Never Judge

Never Judge
By: Maggie Chopra

On the shelf are many books,
We judge them by content not by looks,
So why judge a girl by what you see,
And not by truly what is underneath…

Would you refuse to read a book,
If you did not like how it looks,
The content inside is what matters,
Just like a girl who is not ugly if she is fatter…

So next time when you see a girl,
Even though she might not be a pearl,
Do not let her looks deceive,
As everything is not as it seems…

Just like its not what is on the cover of a book,
It is not all about ones looks,
So never judge a book by its cover,
As that next girl could be your lover…

I think this poem is a great way to relate books back to real life. I thought it was very creative and I like the the way it rhymes. :)

Thank You. I thought that books are always said to be a part of life, however I wanted to define my own reason why. I am glad you like it!

Hi Maggie,
I really loved this poem because many people can relate to it. It is so true that it is not the outside that matters, it is really the inside. The personality of the book is shown to you more if you really understand it. I think you really portrayed the meaning of do not judge a book by its cover! Also nice rhyming the words really fit!
